Prince of Persia 2008 has had more than its fair share of heated debates.
People have hated it. People have loved it. And people have even posted articles/opinions, without ever having played the game!
For some of us fans, even if we have a love-hate relationship with PoP 2008, we’ll play the Epilogue DLC… just because!
Having said that, if you’re a PC gamer, then you know about this post:
Unfortunately for business reasons we won’t be seeing any PoP DLC appear. Sorry guys!
Made in early February by a Ubisoft employee, on the Ubisoft forums, it was kinda heart-breaking.
It’s unlikely that a PC gamer would buy a console simply to play a DLC package of a game. S/he could borrow a friend’s console, or could search YouTube to find video walkthroughs: Click here
Whatever it is that s/he’d do, s/he’d experience the Epilogue DLC and come away with some impressions:
- Linear game-play!
- No light seeds – but you can collect …err… Frescos?
- Detailed, dark, dreary, dank and depressing environs
- No fertility landscaping!
- Tighter timing on the platforming
- New power plate that creates timed sections
- Wash, rinse and repeat combat with Elika’s daddy, the Warrior, the Hunter, and corrupted soldiers
Jordan Mechner and PoP Team… will you never return to the Prince of Persia series?
